  1. Hi Greg! Thank you for the suggestion and glad your issue was resolved. Unfortunately I do not own any Apple computers, so I downloaded an outdated version of Safari for Windows. I could not even login to UFile (browser security features are outdated I guess). Still waiting to hear back from Customer Support via email.

Unfortunately, they did not know what I was talking about (even when I clearly explained it in my message), and the "solution" offered did not help at all. =================================== UFile.ca helpdesk <help@ufile.ca> Hello,Thank you for contacting UFile Support.Please tell us when did you receive the error 500.If you received the error 500 when you tried to enter in your account, please try to open your tax return by using a different web browser: Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, Edge, Internet explorer, Safari.If you received the error during the data entry, we need to know in which section did you want to enter the information. =================================== I already had launched the software using Chrome, Internet Explorer and Firefox, and the software gives me exactly the same error message on exactly the same screen. So back to square one...
  3. You are not the only one with this issue ShaheenaK!!! I have called UFile and emailed repeatedly. No one picks up the phone after 40+ minutes of being on hold waiting for live customer support. Having a single line for all inquiries (should be an option for software issues), not having the option of entering my cell number to receive a call back, not letting me know how long is the wait time or how many customers are ahead of me, not having their hours of operation for the call center listed anywhere, they are all contributing to my frustration. No one replies to the emails (I have sent 3 replies, been waiting for 1 week); I emailed an Admin on this "Help" Forum (Antoine7), and he gave me a generic reply that was of no help ("Given the particularity of your situation, we suggest that you send your request to the UFile support group. Support@ufile.ca"). Here is my issue: When I am trying to click on the + for "Net Capital Losses of other years" to create a new sheet, I get the error message below ==== ServerError 500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed. ====
  4. Hi Roger! I am currently preparing my 2018 return, but when I am trying to click on the "Net Capital Losses of other years" to create a new section, I get the error message below:

    There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.
     
    I tried to create it in 2 different computers in 2 different locations, with exactly the same results, so I am thinking it may be a UFile software bug. I tried on Friday 2/22 and I just tried again today (2/23) with exactly the same result.
     
    I opened a ticket with the helpdesk, ans replied that I needed assistance (the links they sent are not helpful on this issue), but I am still waiting. Can you please assist me?

      If the section "Capital loss carryforward" already exists, when you click on "Net Capital Losses of other years" it tries to add that section again. However, since it already exists, it's returning an error message. Sorry that the message is not more meaningful, we will work on it.

      Thank you for your reply.

      I am trying to apply a unused net capital losses of $168 in this year's return. Where would I enter the $168 if not under the  "Net Capital Losses of other years" section?

  5. Hi Antoine7! I am currently preparing my 2018 return, but when I am trying to click on the "Net Capital Losses of other years" to 
    create a new section, I get the error message below:
     
    ServerError 
    500 - Internal server error.
    There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.
     
    I tried to create it in 2 different computers in 2 different locations, with exactly the same results, so I am thinking it may be a UFile software bug.
     
    I have opened a ticket with their helpdesk, but I am still waiting. Can you please assist me?
