  1. This is a very annoying bug in Ufile. After successfully submitting the T1135, it shows a confirmation, but underneath that confirmation, it copies the submission form. This is quite confusing, because the user assumes that they need to submit again, but when they try to do that, they get a submission failure. The problem is that now Ufile thinks that the submission has failed and will not show the confirmation number of the original, successful submission. I can't believe that this wasn't caught by QA. Oh, and CRA "my account" doesn't show if the T1355 was received

  3. Thank you so much! It's a pity that the representative on the support line did not suggest that. May I suggest changing the error message to something more informative? It did charge me $8 + tax for the filing, but eh.
  4. How do we report US income from a student's co-op placement, and the US taxes paid on it? Thank you!
  5. We are trying to apply for the One-time top-up to the Canada Housing Benefit for a dependent. CRA *requires* a tax return for 2021 in order to process that claim. At the time we did not file since he had no income, so we are trying to file retroactively. Ufile will not generate a report, saying: The bottom part shows: And the only relevant message is: There are no errors. I know that the tax return is technically not required, but we still need to file it for the housing benefit. This is urgent since the deadline is the end of the month. Please help!
  6. Thank you for the reply, but that was not what I asked. My question was not whether Ufile allows it, but whether it will keep track of both the contribution room and the unused deductions for me. Just to clarify, let me present a hypothetical example: Let's say that for 2021 I had an RRSP contribution room of $10,000. I contribute, $6,000 and choose to deduct $3,000. If for my max contribution for 2022 is $12,000, my cumulative totals should be: Contribution room: $12,000 + ($10,000 - $6,000) = $16,000 Allowable deduction = $12,000 + ($10,000 - $3,000) = $19,000 Where would Ufile display those values for the 2022 year? I assume the first value ($16,000) would be in the "RRSP/PRPP deduction limit" field. But where would the second value ($19,000) be shown? Thank you!
  7. If I want to contribute my limit to RRSP but postpone claiming the tax deduction to a later year, will Ufile keep track of both the contribution room and the unused deductions for me? Thank you!
