  10. In CRA mentioned, as a dependent including parents, where I need to enter this amount? I am sending money monthly". Amounts for non-resident dependants You may be able to claim an amount for certain dependants who live outside Canada if they depended on you for support. If the dependants already have enough income or assistance for a reasonable standard of living in the country in which they live, we do not consider them to depend on you for support. Also, we do not consider gifts you send them to be support. Supporting documents – If you are filing electronically, keep all your documents (proof of your payment of support) in case we ask to see them at a later date. If you are filing a paper return, attach your documents. Proof of payment must show your name, the amount and the date of the payment, and the dependant’s name and address. If you sent the funds to a guardian, the guardian’s name and address must also show on the proof of payment."
  11. maybe the program triggered, it will benefit you in refund or tax credits, if you choose the other spouse as pensioner. pls try to compare the outcome if there is any big different.

  13. yeah i noticed that too. that option the way I did, enter as my dependents so i can claim the caregiver amount if your parents born 1947 or earlier. and create a new file for my parents.
  14. Click the drop down box under Boxes 028, 104 and other income (The option 'Other income included in business income (Memo)' will not report this income on your return. If you use this option, you must also report this income in the business income section. The program will then prepare a statement of business income.) and choose [119] Premiums paid to a group term life ins. plan
