  2. Can't save the return because it isn't accepting a year end in October. I clicked final year of operations, tried changing the year end to December, but neither worked. 2014 return.
  3. Hello, I am self-employed and earn commissions. I have filled out the "T4A - Pension, retirement, annuity, and other income" form as well as the "T2125 - Commission income" form and can find no error in the way that I have entered everything. The results at the end seem to reflect accurately too, however it gives me a warning and says I cannot file to netfile: -"T4A box 020 is present, make sure this amount is also included within a business grouping" -"The amount in T4A boc 020 must also be reported as business income" As far as I can tell, both of these are done already....any help would be appreciated.   4. I work full time, run a part time home based business and I am a partner in a retail store. I have done the first two for many years and got it all covered tax wise. The retail store partnership is new and I need to know how to account for it. In year one I only earned a few hundred in salary, but invested close to $10k in the businesses. Do I enter it into UFile as a Self-Employment Income? In which case I appear to need to do a full corporate income tax return with sales COGS, expenses etc. We will be sending the company taxes to an accountant, so I do not think I need to do this on my personal taxes. Or do I not account for it at all and leave it to the corporate accountant? Thanks

    CCA

    I am trying to enter last years taxes into ufile so I can compare and be ready for next year. In the business section of the CCA the layout and terminology differs radically from the tax forms cca layout. ACB = ? maybe box 6 of tax form cca calculation? Is there an explanation that relates your terminology to the box numbers in the cca tax form? why do I have to do the math, is not the point of this program to add up and subtract for me after I have given it the data. Why the heck can I not enter the cca information in the same terminology and layout as the tax form?
  7. Hello! I'm self-employed workinf from home. So, in ufile online, in Self-employment income -> Home office expenses there are following fields: "Portion (%) of home that is used for personal purposes" - I know what it is, not a problem. but "*Percentage of heat and light expenses that is attributable to the personal use portion" - what does it mean?? And how to calculate this? Can anyone clarify this for me? Thank you!
