Hi all, I'm having an issue getting the right education amounts on my return. I was a full-time student for 8 months in 2016 and entered that information in the appropriate box in the ufile interview. I also paid about $1400 in tuition. I want to transfer the tuition and education and textbook amounts to a parent-not-yet-processed. However, when I generate the return and check my Schedule 11 only the tuition amount is used in the calculation of the transfer amount and there is no amount entered for the Education Amount or Textbook amount. Each should be multiplied by 8. I have tried several different things to get the right amount to appear, but nothing seems to work to get 8 months to properly appear in the schedule 11. Thoughts?
Hi all - been a long time UFile user (10 years). I have run into an issue this year and I'm not sure why. So, got hitched in 2016. My spouse contributed $10,500 to RRSP and we have a combined income of $125,000. Why are they only getting $1,500 back??? I don't understand. It should be in the magnitude of $3,500!! Please help - it's virtually impossible for us to see why with this software.
