UFile and security

Recommended Posts

UFile has offered secure electronic tax filing systems for over a decade. We understand that your privacy and the confidentiality of your data are extremely important.

We can assure you that UFile is never affected by the Heartbleed bug and continue to be a secure tax preparation platform.

Although the CRA shutdown impacts all tax software products, with UFile you may safely complete your return and wait for the NETFILE service to reopen or you can print your return and send it to the CRA.

The CRA is working on resolving the problem to ensure safe, secure online services. We will continue to provide timely updates with more information as it becomes available.

Because of the service interruption due to security vulnerability, the CRA has extended this year's T1 tax filing deadline to May 5th to allow taxpayers extra time to file their tax returns without incurring interest or penalties.

To avoid penalizing anyone for last week's interruption in the online services offered by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), Revenu Québec is granting a five-day extension of the deadline for filing the 2013 income tax return.
