Mikey 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2016 Hello, I'm having trouble using the new autofill feature. When I click on the Download button on the AFR page I get a pop up with the following message: Error trying to find an eligble web browser. I have both Chrome and Firefox on my system. Are neither of these supported? There is no further information except for the single pop up window with an OK or Cancel option.
Aliac9000 1 Report post Posted April 19, 2017 I'm getting the same error with Win 10 and UFile 2016 (12 returns). Microsoft Edge is installed, and starts ok if its icon in the taskbar is clicked. This autofill functionality is VERY important to me. What do I have to do to make it work?

Keith_w 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2018 I got 21.08 over the weekend and successfully downloaded my tax information. However, I did notice that it used Internet Explorer rather than my default browser.

Keith_w 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2018 You are quite welcome. It does puzzle me however why it insists on using IE11 rather than the default browser which could be any of several including Edge, Firefox, Chrome (personally, yuck), Opera or other browser whether you are on W10 or an earlier version of the OS. Victor 0 Report post Posted Thursday at 11:05 PM Even though my default browser is Chrome using Windows 10 with UFile V22.10, UFile still automatically uses Internet Explorer 11. I go to “Retrieve tax information”, check “Update from CRA again”, click on “Dowload”, get to the CRA login screen (.../services/e-services/auto-fill-return-express-not.html) and get kicked out with ERR.026 - A problem has occurred. You have either attempted to access this Web site directly, or have used a bookmark. When I go back to UFile, the icon is still spinning. However, I have no problems when accessing CRA directly using other browsers.
SilverPaladin 0 Report post Posted 7 hours ago I don't use Edge. I don't want to use Edge. Chrome is my default, yet Ufile insists on opening Edge. How to stop this?
