Adding non-dependant family member

Recommended Posts

Our ufile program for 2015 is supposed to cover additional family members besides my wife and me. We've completed ours but would now like to use the program to do our daughter's tax return. Our daughter lives with us but is not a "dependent". How can we create a filer for her as there does not seem to be any provision for non-dependant family members?

Hi epstrat,

We offer two products for the preparation of tax returns for individuals: UFile ONLINE and UFile for WINDOWS.

UFile ONLINE is a Web-based application that allows you to prepare your tax return online. There is no program to install and all your data is saved on our secure servers. Please see http://www.drtax.ca/en/UFile/software-products/online-tax-solution.aspx for more details.

UFile is absolutely FREE for millions of taxpayers. You may be one of them:

http://www.drtax.ca/en/UFile/tips-and-tools/UFilefreefiling.aspx

UFile for WINDOWS is designed for Microsoft Windows. You install this program on your own computer. All your data is stored on your computer.

With UFile 4 you can prepare up to 4 returns for any level of income and 4 additional returns for modest income taxpayers.

With UFile 12, you have the ability to prepare up to 12 returns for any level of income and 4 additional returns for modest income taxpayers. You can purchase both the UFile for WINDOWS 4 and 12 versions either online on our website, http://www.ufile.ca/windows/Store/, or at one of several participating retail stores:

http://www.drtax.ca/en/stores.aspx

Remember that with both products you can transmit your returns via *NETFILE or submit them in paper form.

you didn't answer the question...you just sent a link to the on line product!  They already said they did their own returns on line so they know where to find the product!  I have the same question....it is not clear at all!
