Hi,

"Nullable object must have a value"

The error occurs when a user is behind a PROXY or other Web service which changes the users IP address during the session in UFILE.
Please try to open your account from a different location: home or office.
If you still have difficulties, please try to open your account from this TEMPORARY url:
https://secure2.ufile.ca

Please let us know if you still receive the error message.

Hi A7, I've got the same "nullable error" I tried the temporary link you provided but the CRA site shuts down with an error or time out when I try to autofill. I realize the complaints are from last year and I'm hoping some resolution has been found.

Thanks for your time,

Ken

This problem persists. Ive tried several computers in different locations and get that error or "An error occurred while executing the command definition. See the inner exception for details". WTF is this? Like above mentions Ive never had problems before and even on the same computers as using this year. UFILE, clean up your act!

Been trying to work through my tax return, and continuously get this with each screen completed,...essentially freezes up, so no choice but to hard exit the application, then resign in, loses the page I just completed....fill in a page, then click "next" and message of Nullable object comes back...this is very frustrating...and like others, used the same computer and IP address as years past..although it has come up in the past a bit, nothing as frequent as this year.

Who do I call to support this issue?

It feels on April 6th, 2022 like I am constantly getting the "X Nullable object must have a value."  error with options to choose OK or Cancel

I can complete one or two pages and then I need to logout and log back in again to make any progress.  Whichever page I was on at the time I need to redo.

I am currently on a work computer connected through VPN using https://secure.ufile.ca/.  I tried https://secure2.ufile.ca/. It proceeds past the sign-in page and then won't launch any tax years.  I'll switch to a home computer and see if that's any better.

An hour later, I can report that I've been able to use UFile at https://secure.ufile.ca/ from my home computer, and I have not seen a recurrence of the "X Nullable object must have a value." error.

Hello Sabrina,

1). Close the UFile session by exiting the UFile page ie close the browser and login back in.  The data should not be lost and all entries should be restored (except the last interview page).  It may be due to a split second disconnect of the  DBase to web server interface page and can be caused by network latency, internet disruptions or other internet issues.

2.) Also reported when a user is behind a PROXY or other Web service which changes the users IP address during the session in UFILE.

3.) Switch browsers.  Eg. From Chrome to Firefox

4.) IF the issue persists please try to open your account from a different location ie different IP address: home or office or reboot the modem router.
