FAndrei
Hi there, Last year i have worked in Quebec but the employer was from Ontario. I received a T4 but no RL-1. My question is what should i put in the fields related to RL-1? Leave them blank?
Cristina
Hi FAndrei, Please follow the steps below: 1. In the "Left-side menu on the Interview tab", select "T4 and employment income", and on the screen, that appears on the right, choose "T4 income earned outside Quebec". 2. Enter the data from the T4 and select the province of employment in box 10. I hope this information will help you, Have a great day!
FAndrei
The thing is that my employer had an office opened in Montreal (where i use to work). Does it still count as income earned outside Quebec?

FAndrei
I looked at the T4 again and at the box 10 (province of employment) it's QC. And the box 16 (CPP contribution) is empty while the box 17 (QPP contribution) has the amount paid.
Cristina
Hi FAndrei, The list of T4 slips changes, based on the selected province of Residnece from the Identification page. - If your province of residence for 2017 tax year is Quebec, then you should select the first option for T4: "T4 and Rl-1 (Relevé 1) income earned in Quebec qith QPP contributions" and enter only the boxes that you have on your paper T4 slip. - If you were a resident of any other province than Quebec for 2017 tax year, then please select the option "T4 income earned in Quebec with QPP contributions". I hope this message will help you to enter the information in the program, Have a nice day!
