Cannot seem to netfile in 2017 tax filing, getting a rejected error below.  Have tried to fix per the instructions below, but need a better (easier) explanation.  No response from Ufile to my customer service support requests and no way to contact by phone.  Appreciate any advice.

Error code(s):2197Please verify the following lines found on the Schedule 7: 1) Make sure to enter the amount of unused RRSP/PRPP contributions available for 2017 from the Canada Revenue Agency's (CRA) records on line 1 of Schedule 7. This amount is: $0. 2) Make sure to enter the total of the RRSP/SPP/PRPP contributions made after the first 60 days of 2017 and no later than the first 60 days of the following year, on line 245 of Schedule 7. 3) If necessary, make sure any contributions you are designating as a repayment under the HBP and the LLP are correctly indicated on line 246 and/or 262 of Schedule 7. Once you make the necessary changes, try sending your return again. If the amount of unused RRSP/PRPP contributions available for 2017 in the CRA's records indicated above is incorrect, please call the Canada Revenue Agency's Individual income tax and trust enquiries.

Hi

It's not clear where my error might be. This is the message received after completing my tax return. My Quebec return was fine and I was able to upload but not Federal.

"One or more entries in your financial statement(s) require correction. The data entered is either invalid, or mandatory information is missing. If you are unable to resolve the issues, please contact your Software Developer. "

How can I know where there is a problem??

Please help!

For this problem "The data entered is either invalid, or mandatory information is missing." I received the following support advice, which worked for me (YMMV):

  1. go to the section "Dependant ID".
  2. "Does this tax payer requiere a tax return?" - Answer "Yes".
  3. Click on "Review" tab and try to submit the tax return

The default answer to that question is "Let MaxBack Decide", so if this doesn't work for you maybe look for similar places you are letting MaxBack decide and force the right decision?

Trying to file my sisters taxes for her and i keep getting this error code

Code: #910026B   - You have provided exempt income on line 10000 and/or line 10019 and/or line 10026 on the Form T90, 
Income Exempt under the Indian Act, but you have not indicated on page 2 of the return if you have any income that is 
exempt under the Indian Act. Please answer the question as instructed by your software. 

There was nothing mentioning Indian status or exempt income please help. Where did I go wrong her?

It is now saying this when I try to file.

I got the same thing. I walked through with CRA and Turbo Tax and got no where after over 4 hours on hold. I have everything entered correctly and now its saying I'm locked out. Called CRA and they said my account isn't locked. I'm glad I'm not the only one seeing this stupid message. I've been rechecking all my work and I know everything is correct. I think its the program I'm using not my entries. I managed to get taxed income sent in and no income just ones with tax exempt aren't going through.

Good afternoon,

 

I was attempting to efile a return with exempt Indian income and it gave me 2 errors saying I needed to fill out form T90 (it was filled out from first attempt).  I had tried several different methods to try to get the program to realize that form T90 was filled out such as putting in a fake number in a random spot in form T90, saving it, and then removing the fake number, saving again, and then retry efile.  No go, same error saying I need to fill out form T90.  After several attempts, i got locked out and sent here.

Hello I got the same message: And I am Trying to contact CRA thru phone I spend the whole day last Saturday calling but Nobody answer my problem. No Technical support answering my call and I've waited about 2 hours each call for 3 times. It's so frustrating that we cannot submit our taxes thru Netfile/
