Unable to calculate return. please fix errors but there are no errors

Recommended Posts

After entering all info , I go to to review my return and I get the following message " Unable to calculate return. Please fix errors.

But it doesn't tell me what errors and down below on this screen , I get a green box with light bulb in it . And it says Tax calculation completed successfully and the red box with the exclamation sign in it says 0 errors. So I thought I might of entered something wrong so I went and did the online ufile and entered same info and it took it no problem.  So anybody have an answer . I am getting frustrated because I have called ufile support several times and keep getting left on hold for an hour at a time. Next call will be to better business bureau I guess.

I had all these errors even installing V++ 2015 and still prompt the same error message "Unable to calculate return" whenever i hit the review tab

however, this worked for me on windows 7 32bit

1. check if you have window service pack 1 . right click on my computer -> properties -> and you can see whether you have it or not.

2. if not install , https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help/15090/windows-7-install-service-pack-1-sp1

but you can skip this step if you already have window service pack 1 installed.

3. install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2017

x86 (you can check either 86 or 64 by right clicking on my comp then properties:

and install  vc_redist.x86.exe

4. restart comp

5. and re open ufile and the review tab should work.
