File Rejected

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am trying to file my taxes. The review section shows that my tax calculations were completed successfully, however, when I go to Netfile to try and file my taxes, I receive the warning You have not completed all of the required electronic submissions.

Please refer to the Filing Status to determine which submission(s) remain outstanding.

When I click on Filing Status it does not tell me how I can fix the issue, all I see is "File Rejected". Please help.

Same here! I got this error, but was able to file my husband's return minutes later with no problem. Still can't get mine to go through.

uFile shows zero errors or warnings. The Netfile error message says "One or more entries in your financial statement(s) require correction. The data entered is either invalid, or mandatory information is missing. If you are unable to resolve the issues, please contact your Software Developer."

What could I be missing?

Hi I got the exact same problem. My husband's return went through no problem. My provincial one got accepted as well but my federal got rejected and I got the same message as you. I've triple checked and I can't find anything missing. Did you end up getting it fixed? What did you do?

We got the same error message "one or more entries in your tax return require correction...." and can't file it through.... Any of you have issue solved and could shed some light?

We are able to file for 3 out of us 4. Not sure the exact reason why not able to file the last one. Your timely response is appreciated as the clock is ticking.... or is it simply another bug in the program.

Thanks!

For this problem "The data entered is either invalid, or mandatory information is missing." I received the following support advice, which worked for me (YMMV):

  1. go to the section "Dependant ID".
  2. "Does this tax payer requiere a tax return?" - Answer "Yes".
  3. Click on "Review" tab and try to submit the tax return

The default answer to that question is "Let MaxBack Decide", so if this doesn't work for you maybe look for similar places you are letting MaxBack decide and force the right decision?

I HAVE BEEN USING UFILE FOR OVER 10 YEARS....MY SPOUSE'S RETURN IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR NETFILE DUE TO THE SOFTWARE'S MSG INDICATING BOX 048 IS NOT INCLUDED (UNDER SELF-EMP INCOME IS T2125). THE GROUPING IS INFACT INPUTTED. PLEASE HELP as we need to apply for the emergency fund. I TRIED CONTACTING THE SUPPORT TEAM SINCE TUESDAY WITH NO SOLUTION IN SIGHT:(

T4A box 048 is present, make sure this amount is also included within a business grouping.

You cannot currently NETFILE the federal return. Please review the following reasons, and make corrections when possible. If an (*) appears at the end of an explanation below, it denotes a NETFILE exclusion (i.e. the return cannot be transmitted).

The amount in box 048 of the T4A slip must also be reported within the corresponding business as self-employment income

Hi i'm at wits end, To enter this amount in the program, follow the steps below:

1. In the "Left-side menu on the Interview tab", select "Interview setup".

2. On the screen that appears on the right, go to the "Pension" group and check the box "Pension income, other income and split pension income (T4A, T4A(OAS), T4A(P), T4A-RCA, T4RSP, T4RIF, T1032)". Then, go to the "Self-employment" group and check the box "Self-employment business income". If you paid tax by instalments, go to the group "Tax paid by instalments and tax transfer" and check the box "Tax paid by instalments and tax transfer" then click "Next" at the bottom of the page.

3. Return to the "Left-side menu on the Interview tab" and select "Pension income, T4A".

4. On the page appearing to your right, click on the plus sign "+" icon to the right of the line "T4A - Pension, retirement, annuity and other income".

5. On the new page generated, enter the amount shown in Box 048 of your T4A to the line "Box 048 - fees for services (report this amount as a T2125 - Business or Professional income)".

6. Return to the "Left-side menu on the Interview tab", select the item "Self-employment income" and on the page appearing on the right, choose the appropriate option, either "T2125 - Business income" or "T2125P - Professional income".

7. On the page "T2125 - Business identification", enter the name of the business on the line "Name of the business (or your own name if the business does not have one)", then enter the other information in the mandatory fields marked with a red asterisk.

8. In the field for "6-digit code from the North American Industry Classification System", enter the code that best describes your industry. If you do not know the code, click on the tool tip (the question mark) (?) next to the box to get the list.

9. On the line "Products or services and their respective percentage (%) in the total income (mandatory for a Quebec return)", in the field on the right, enter your main service or product and enter the percentage (%). If you have other products or services, click on the "plus sign +" icon on the right to generate another field.

10. On the next page, "Income, expenses", enter the amount from Box 048 of the T4A on the line "Fees for services (T4A Box 048) (Enter the total if you have more than one amount)". If you have expenses, enter them in the boxes corresponding to their description.

I've been emailing Ufile weekly about this persistent error - it is the ONLY error which prevents me from filing my return.  I have yet to receive any reply from Ufile, except the acknowledgement that I sent them an email.  The error basically says - You cannot NetFile your return at this time - the CRA site will be open beginning February 24, 2020.  I've been using Ufile for at least 8 years and this is the first time I've encountered a problem they've never tried to fix or help explain why there is an issue.

Hi, You have this error because your program is not up to date. You must install the recent version Ufile23.20 on "Settings" and "Check for updates" .
