My husband (head of family) separated in the fall of 2019. When we filled out the 2019 tax, we indicated the marital status has changed (married to separated) in both of our files. He is listed as the family head, and in his review section, there is an error:

"You have data for both an ex-spouse and a current spouse. Delete one or the other, consistent with your marital status."

We've gone through both Interviews very carefully and cannnot figure out where the current spouse is indicated in order to delete it. I don't know how to fix this error. Has anyone else experienced this or anyone know how to fix this?

You have to delete your spouse's file and reenter her information as a new family head. Unfortunately, you can't "share" the same file. Ufile requires each person to have their own file in this instance. There are no "shortcuts" or cloning features to address this issue in Ufile.
