  1. I thank you, I did figure it out, the issue was he did not spend enough money on tools in the year so the total wasn't over the 1287 base amount on line 5.
  2. I am doing taxes for my son, an apprentice plumber He can claim tools he buys for his work. I did this last year, no issues. For 2022 I have all the info entered but nothing appears on the tax return: line 1770 on the T777 is blank.... I looked at my entries on Ufile 2021, I can see no difference. What am I missing???? thanks for any help!
  3. We rented out our basement. Our house is a split level so does not have a full basement. I calculated the rental space is 20% of our living space. So what do I enter to answer the question "% of personal use of your rental property"? 80% or 20%? Next, when entering the expenses do I then enter the full amount and the program calculates the 20%? e.g if I paid $2000 property taxes, do I enter $2000 or $500? Hopefully someone has some experience with this and can help. TIA, Bevin B.
