Real confused here.
In 2020 tax return, I calculated this to be square feet of office/total square feet of the house. I didn't see an error message when I click on the Review section. In 2021, when I used the same formula, I get the following message when I click on Review.
The portion of the home used for employment purposes exceeds 50%. Verify if you have correctly entered the portion of the home that is NOT used for employment purposes.
Why is this case for 2021 and not 2020? What's wrong with the formula I used?
2nd question: Is filling in this field mandatory?
