  1. Yes, he is. He's married to my cousin. He's been doing them for years' along with my aunt's.
  2. I never considered that. I'll take a look after Wednesday. So, you think I shouldn't leave the net income fields empty? I thought that might be easier if it can be done. Any idea why my father doesn't show up on the return? He shows up at the end with $0.00 balance/refund. I'm uncertain if I would receive anything extra as a caregiver for a second person. Thank you for all your help.
  3. Hi, Yes, she lives with me. I do the groceries, banking, pharmacy. Her mobility is limited but I've chosen to not to claim her as disabled. I just want to claim the care giver benefit. I don't know 100 per cent if she uses all her deductions and credits. I believe she does. I'll wait till Wednesday. It's more complicated than I anticipated just for the care giver tax credit. I was hoping to add my father but he passed away in June 2021. When I enter the dates for his dependency, 01-01-2020 to 29-01-2022, his name doesn't appear in the return. Thanks for your help.
  4. Thanks. I'm waiting for the "tax guy" to come on Wednesday. Would I need to enter an amount for "net income" in the software on line 275? I've entered an amount. It doesn't change the final result, but UFile warns that my mother has a balance due of $1,865.35. That's ridiculous as she lives off a pension and my father's survivor benefits. I'm thinking about just not entering anything as her return has already been sent in. Your opinion, please. Thanks again.
  5. Hello, My mother has already filed her 2021 tax return. I can't add my mother as a dependent without errors. I need to insert her OAS among other received benefits or the system returns errors. Will this cause a second return to be filed on her part? I need to figure out a way to enter her information without causing problems for me and/or her. Should I simply add all her data? I have not entered all of it yet as her tax guy has her all tax slips. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
