Thanks :). The problem is that I did not have the t4arsp slip, it would have been easy if it had been there. And my bigger issue was that the software does not have any easy way of finding line numbers from the paper version of the returns, sigh.... My client finally did find the slip that came with all the stuff she got (she has a brain injury so it is hard for her to navigate this stuff) so immediate problem solved. I just wish that ufile maybe put the line numbers on the spaces where you enter numbers, etc.... I really appreciate your time and kindness in helping me, much thanks, Yasmine

My cvitp client has an sdrsp withdrawl from which taxes were deducted, which I believe should be a tax credit. Where do I put it in desktop? I believe I should put it in line 20800 but don't know where the software puts that line. It does not show the line. I can never find lines from paper files in ufile software, it is so frustrating. It just comes up with a million and one options and I can't find it in the morass. Surely there has to be a better way to corrolate the paper and software. Thankss, Yasmine

Hi, I updated the program to 27.01 and that solved the problem, shrug. Don't know what is going on with this error but I am just glad I got it fixed. I hope Ufile informs cvitp about this so their people can help anyone calling in with this problem. Yasmine

I found it. It is under other deductions and credits. Why could the software have not said that when I searched for the name or line of the credit? That is all I needed to know but it took an hour to figure it out! Thanks, Yasmine

Where in the software does one put Eligible educator school supply tax credit? I always have this problem with ufile. Client (cvitp) gives me a line that is in the paper form and it is impossible to find in the software. Surely ufile could make it easier. For this topic, the line 46900 is what I am looking for. When I look it up in ufile, it just gives me a list of every schedule there is,not helpful. The topics on this item don't give step by step where I find this. I assume it is under employment expenses and employment conditions and then salaried employees. But then there is a whole long list of things and I can't find educator supplies in there anywhere. Hi, I am a cvitp volunteer and have done many taxes with auto fill. Yesterday I tried doing a 2020 tax and got the error message "System.InvalidOperationException" was thrown. I was able to do a 2022 file auto fill. I looked up the error message on the board and none of the situations seem to apply to me. I am using firefox browser but when I do auto fill it automatically pulls up edge browser. Does anyone have any idea of how to fix this? Thanks, Yasmine

Sorry to bother you again but I just wanted to check with webview. I looked at the ufile 2020 program and it has a folder with webview. I am not sure if it is installed but the folder is there. Thanks, Yasmine

Thanks. I will check out edgeview. I don't get an error message, that is part of the problem, imo. I have no way to tell what is wrong other than the site is not coming up or the slips are not downloading. I just installed the programs on a new computer so that should not be a problem. If edgeview does not work, I will look at reinstalling them. I hope this all works, it is hard to do taxes without being able to get the slips from those years. Btw, can I go as far back as 2017 for efile and autofill? Yasmine

Hi, I am a volunteer filing low income taxes. With windows 11 there is no option for internet explorer so autofill is supposed to automatically open edge. It does that without a problem in 2021 and 2022. But prior years (the ones that would in the past open with ie) do not work. I can get the edge browser up for 2019, for instance, but after putting in everything correctly, it just keeps trying to download at the end. There is an endless circle going around and around--no error message. In 2020, for instance, it does not even pull up edge but that circle keeps going around and around when I hit download in the ufile program, no error message. I have firefox as my default browser but I don't think that is the problem as I can do 2021 and 2022 okay. It seems to have a problem with the years that used ie. Btw. can we still use autofill and efile in 2017? Thanks!
