Eys 0
Hi, Does anyone know how to claim the $400 credit for working from home due to covid in 2020 using the "Temporary flat rate method" in Ufile? https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/news/2020/12/simplifying-the-process-for-claiming-a-deduction-for-home-office-expenses-for-employees-working-from-home-due-to-covid-19.html Thanks
dogstar38492 0
From what I've been able to tell, it should be claimed on a form T777S. I've yet to figure out how to access this form in Ufile. https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/tax/individuals/topics/about-your-tax-return/tax-return/completing-a-tax-return/deductions-credits-expenses/line-229-other-employment-expenses/work-space-home-expenses/how-claim.html

Greg6413 0
Hi, you need to check Employment Expenses, in the Employment and other Benefits section in the Interview Setup. When you go through the Interview there will now be an Employment Expenses line, from there you choose the top one, T777S - Employment expenses for Working at Home Due to COVID-19 - Temporary flat rate method Input YES in the first box and the number of days in the second box, it will populate line 22900 on your Tax return with the MAX of $400 if you have 200 or more days and whatever it calculates out to if you have less than 200 days. Koro 0
I see this option under my husband but I dont see it under mine. My understanding is that those expense can be claimed per individual, not per household. How can I add those tab under my return?
TheTaxSmith 8
Hi Koro. Did you add the T777S form in your Interview setup area? If not see the first part of the post above by Greg6413.
Librarian 0
I have gone through my interview several times, as well as tried to search employment expenses in the help bar of my ufile return. I need more assistance trying to find the proper link.

Macp 0
Hi, has anyone tried it out? I did with 180 says and it doesn't make much of a difference, certainly no where near $
