Have a question on dependents when filing tax return. We have been using Ufile for filing tax return for years. Our kids completed their studies from universities and are working now. When they were studying in school, we filed the tax return altogether as one family and they were under dependents. But since they are working now, can you please advise whether they would file tax return separately? If so, can you please advise how to do this, for example whether they should set up their own Ufile account? If they set up their own Ufile account, can you please advise what we would do for their existing info under our dependent? Oaklynn Posted September 9 Report Share Posted September 9 🙂@UFU 😊 After they have completed their studies and are now working; they should file their tax returns separately. They will need to set up their own UFile accounts to file independently. When creating their new accounts; they should enter relevant details. As for the existing information under your dependent section; you can remove them as dependents on your U File account moving forward.
