Cannot NETFILE Return due to Non-Resident WHY?

I urgently need to file this return to tell the Canadian gov that I am a non-resident for the entire year of 2023.

I filled the form where I entered my foreign income. With zero Canadian income.

The software gives me this error (for both me and my spouse) that I am unable to netfile due to the fact that I am deemed non-resident.

Is it that the software does not support this??? I hope I don't have to use paper filing.

This is a CRA rule -- Send us your tax return

You can file your completed tax return with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) online or by mail. If you are a non-resident, you can only send your tax return by mail.
