  1. March 2023.

Problem. During the Netfile to CRA my return went through no problems. When I attempted to submit spouses return, I received a notice saying it is rejected, result 16. Within 5 minutes I received email from CRA stating both returns have been successfully submitted. I did not submit wife's return? Contacted CRA, spent 15 min on phone with tech department. They confirmed the issue on the Netfile tab but assured me everything is good on their end. So, my netfile tab continues to warn me that spouses return has not been filed. Save your time, don't bother calling CRA if you've received confirmation that they have your return and spouses return. They recommended contacting UFile to address this issue. Unfortunately previous UFILE responses to this common problem is to contact CRA. You will be going in circles.

    Hi,

I am filing a tax return for three people in my family. I was able to submit two of them, but one of the returns says the file was rejected. Apparently the system thinks I already submitted it, along with a confirmation number and time (which was around when I submitted the other two tax returns), but I am 100% sure I did not submit the tax return for that person. After I submitted my return first, one of the other tax returns showed up as file rejected, and the other had no issues. The system says the return which was apparently already submitted (when I did not submit it) says it was submitted 4 minutes after mine. Should I worry about this? Any help would be appreciated.

This exact situation occured to me word for word. Netfile says file rejected for my spouse yet mine went through. I did not submit wife's yet. CRA email confirms they have both returns . Who's problem is this. UFile software glitch or Netfile tab / CRA issue. UFile answers to this issue so far are to contact CRA. This does not address the issue, how did my wife's return get automatically successfully  filed, then rejected inside the Netfile tab?

When I filed my own taxes via netfile it was successful, but when I tried to file my wife's it was rejected. I went back and reviewed it and I think I might have skipped a box. Afterwards, I tried to do Ufile's ReFile but it wouldn't let me and kept saying under warnings "You have not completed all of the required electronic submissions. Please refer to the Filing Status to determine which submission(s) remain outstanding." It still says 'rejected' by her file and now says that I have been locked out (even though I can still log in to both Ufile and my CRA account).

And on my CRA account, it says that my 2020 Return has been assessed - seems contradictory. Anyone else have this problem or a solution?

Basically same issue March 2023. My return went through to CRA. When I attempted to file my spouses, it was rejected, error 16. Somehow my spouses was already filed. Received confirmation from CRA THAT BOTH are filed and received NOA for both. UFILE software continues to tell me my spouses file has been rejected. To UFILE- No one else filed my spouses return as you suggested to another member.

Same issue, just posted earlier about having the same problem.  I was able to re-submit mine even though it said it was already submitted.  I checked my CRA account and both were submitted.

Ok, March 2023... My netfile went through. My spouse's was rejected. Immediately received email from CRA stating both were filed successfully. Ufile still states spouses return rejected?
