I had a snag like that as well. I blamed a flaw in the UFile software but in the end it tracked down to my recent change in virus protection. The new virus program has a 'white-list' (both system wide and locally). Once I got the executable file listed with my local list, the problem was gone. They did list it system wide and warned that next year it might repeat.
