RRSP deduction limit amount is showing in the tax return as a deduction amount and deducted from my gross income which is not correct.

Hello Sue Mutch,

Go back to the RRSP screen in the Interview section and make sure you did not enter your deduction limit on the wrong line.

If you have no contributions then the screen should be totally empty, except for the  limit amount at the top of the page.

The RRSP deduction limit is incorrectly reflected in the tax return, reducing the gross income by the limit amount. This is a mistake as the limit should indicate the maximum allowable contribution, not an automatic deduction. The accurate RRSP contributions made should be the only amount deducted. Please review and correct this to ensure the gross income is accurately reported.
