Thank you! I found information that said if you made contributions to a "registered Alberta political party, a candidate, a leadership or nomination contestant..." you can claim the non-refundable tax credit. So a municipal candidate must be registered and must give receipts for contributions so why can these contributions not be claimed as a Political tax credit? Just wondering...
