  1. Thanks for the tip. The reject makes more sense now. Especially what you were told about the address is incorrect because the address is part of the electronic file for a first-timer. Please check the following data. 1) In the Family Head Interview, Current address page Make sure you have answered all questions in the Information about your residence section. Reason is that the Family Head's address is used for all Dependants. 2) In your daughter's Interview, Identification page Make sure her Date of birth is the correct one. Then try to NetFile her return again.
  2. Good day, You need to create a T4 / RL-1 page in your partner's Interview. You fill it as shown below by the green arrows. In Box A and Box J you enter the amount shown on the letter. As the premiums paid by your partner's employer are a taxable benefit in Quebec, the amount is eligible as medical expense. The amount shown in Box J will be shown in the list of medical expenses for the Quebec return. Note that the 9% sales tax mentionned in the letter is not the QST (Quebec Sales Tax). It is the tax that applies to insurance contracts.
  3. Good day, Schedule 8 is used to calculate CPP contributions and should be part of your Federal return. Is your self-employment income showing on page 3 of your T1 return? If yes, - what is your age? - did you receive a CPP disability pension for all of 2022?
  4. Unfortunately you provided only the result number as 31. What was the text associated with that reject?
  5. Good day, It is possible to limit the amount of CCA.
  6. Good day, UFile does not support married or common-law dependants. You must create a separate file for your son and his wife.
  7. Good day, You can claim CCA on the computer. You are deemed to have acquired it on the first day of your business. Use Class 50 55% Opening balance of the undepreciated capital cost - leave blank (an amount will show next year) ACB of the depreciable capital property - current market value of the computer Amount of capital additions (other than AIIP) - current market value of the computer Note: If your business beginning date is other than January 1st, the CCA amount will be prorated to the number of months in your business fiscal year.
  8. Good day, This error relates to an amount field that requires a description to be entered or to be chosen from a list. When you click the program brings you to the location in the T4A page. As an example for Box 016 for a pension: The description is missing and must be chosen from the drop list
  9. Good day Regomar, As your daughter has never filed a return before she is what is known as a first-time filer or first-timer. First-timers have been eligible to file electronically for quite a number of years. Did you indicate your daughter's status in her Interview, CRA questions. If yes, what is the exact error message you received when you tried to NetFile her return?
  10. Good day Citizen, The diagnostic you are mentionning appears in the Warnings section. Your return has been calculated. Look in the MaxBack notes and analysis section. You will see whether you are able to file your return. You are unable to file your return elctronically only when a diagnostic is present in the Electronic Filing Errors section.
  11. Good day, As you were residing in Nova Scotia on December 31st, 2022, you file a federal return only. What pertains to Nova Scotia is included in the federal return. With regard to the Interview you enter your T4 / RL-1 information by using a T4 and RL-1 income earned in Quebec with QPP If your Quebec employer provided a health insurance, you will note that Quebec Box J is not shown in the T4 / RL-1 page. This is because the amount of Box J applies as medical expense in the Quebec return only. The amount of Quebec income tax withheld, Box E, will be included in your federal return, line 437. Also ignore the incorrect Warning message in your Revision tab, As your employment was in Quebec, you were subject to the QPP rather than the CPP. Your QPP pensionable earnings, Box G, are generally the same as Box A.
