  1. My dad has a T2201 form but it has not been approved by CRA yet. It will be sent with the 2023 tax return. However, I noticed that the credit amount is not showing up on line 31600. Do you know why? I have filled in the “infirmity and disability” page as follows: 1. Are you eligible for the disability amount on line 31600 - claim disability amount (1st or new application) 2. Indicate how you wish to handle the disability amount and attendant care as medical expenses - Let MaxBack decide 3. Does the CRA already hand an approved T2201 form for this disability - No
  2. My dad owned his principal residence with my mom but he passed away in 2023. 1. Do I have to report a disposition on his principal residence on the “Real Estate, depreciable property, and other properties” form (ie. fill in the Proceeds of disposition, ACB, etc.) 2. Is the proceeds of disposition the deemed value from an appraisal on the property as it has not been sold? 3. After I input the information in the above section (eg Proceeds of disposition = $1,000,000 and ACB of $900,000), I don’t see this info show up in the T1255 form? Do you know why?
  3. My mom also moved to a retirement home in 2023. In the letter from the home, it breaks down various care services fees and wages that qualify as eligible attendant care expenses. However, she does not qualify for the disability tax credit (ie. no T2201). Can she still claim them?
  4. Where do I enter details so that caregiver amount credit shows up in the tax return?
