Tipper
I am filing a joint-return with my wife. Her net income is $103K and mine is $76K. Shouldn't max back give me the medical expenses?
TheTaxSmith
Hi Tipper. I would suggest looking over Part B on the Schedule for Federal non-refundable tax credits in the area for calculation of the medical credit amount. If you want to test the claim go back to the index list on the left while in the Interview tab and click on "Medical, disability, caregiver". From there look over to the right and in the "Medical expenses" group add the "Sharing of medical expenses" schedule and choose your options to override. Then compare the change with respect to refunds.
