JPG Lalonde CPA
UFILE says that the Federal Tax Return cannot be filed electronically because self-employment income is from Ontario while the taxpayer is resident in Quebec. (Multijurisdiction Return). However UFILE says that the Quebec Tax Return is Eligible for electronic filing. CRA documentation NETFILE eligibility does not list Multijurisdiction Return as not being eligible for NETFILE. What is wrong with the return or UFILE system? TheTaxSmith
Hi JPG. For what it's worth we had problems over the years with Ufile's bigger brother every once in a while. It turned out to be a business address issue. We entered the correct business address but had to use the postal code for the taxpayers residence to make Efile work. Some years all worked, other years we had to adjust the postal code. In all it was really a government issue rather than the tax software company. And yes it was always with the Federal return.
