Child Care Expense - Preschool

I am trying to enter the amount paid for preschool.  I am doing my son and daughter-in-law's taxes.  My son is the wage earner, his wife has zero income.  If I add the child as a dependent onto my son's taxes and fill in the preschool info, at the end in the review is won't allow him to claim this $.

If I add his wife and child dependents, the $ for preschool doesn't show up in his tax return.

Likewise, if I file separately (which I normally do) it doesn't show up in the wife's tax return either.

Any suggestions.
