Rob -Volunteer Income Tax
When trying to autofill for older tax years I constantly get the message "Cannot proceed because another instance of Internet Explorer(IE) is already running. Please close all instances of IE and retry." I have Windows 11.
Pamela V
Hi, I was told be CRA that you need to access autofill in the current year and then access the prior years that way. This worked for me last year.
JohnA
You have to eFile the "Federal authorization" using the current year's software i.e. 2021. Then you go to uFile for a prior year to autofill. But if you don't then you usually get a different message about the wrong form when you try to file the authorization, so I'm not sure this is your issue. You might check the task manager to see if an IE instance is running somewhere on your computer. If you can't get autofill to work for a prior year, once you file the authorization in the 2021 version, then you can always log directly onto "Represent a Client" on the CRA site and get the T-slips manually from there.
