Anita Pelletier
Hello, I would like to adjust the # of months a deceased person has used the Quebec Drug Plan. I'm told to complete Box 59 in Schedule K. How do I access this? Also, should this be done in the deceased return? Or the widows return? Thanks Anita P
TheTaxSmith
Usually entering the date of death will accomplish the correct entry for the number of months for the Quebec drug plan. That is all completed in the deceased's final tax return. You will of course need to answer the question as to what status the deceased had for the drug plan, meaning they had a private plan or they used the Quebec plan. Yes, I completed trying both options a) Quebec Plan for full year b) Quebec Plan for a portion of the year.... which seemed like the right option, but 'death' is not an option for the reasons for partial year. I cannot figure out how to access box 59 in Schedule K. Thanks
