Jolyboy
My wife and I sold a rental property in 2021 and I am filling out the capital gains section in Ufile. We have jointly owned the property and everything we have is done jointly. Do I complete the capital gains form on my return or my wife's, or both? Any help here would be appreciated. Jolyboy
As an addition to our situation. We both make about the same salary. Also, I contributed $40 000 to an RRSP to offset the capital gains. My wife contributed $15 000 to an RRSP. Essentially, I think therefore my income would be considerably less than hers. TheTaxSmith
Did you claim CCA in past years on your rental statement?
