JanC
Hi there! I contributed to a Spousal Rrsp, where my husband is the annuitant. I didn’t know that it was using my Rrsp limit, stupid of me. I have over contributed over the $2000 limit. Can my husband claim the over contribution as his own contribution? if not, do I need to immediately withdrawal to avoid penalties from CRA? Thanks in advance for any suggestions to my predicament. TheTaxSmith
You need to complete a T3012A form. Don't just withdraw it. https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/tax/individuals/topics/rrsps-related-plans/making-withdrawals/withdrawing-unused-contributions.html
