Rita B.
My son attended school for fireman school (IPIQ) from August 2021 til January 2022. He paid for his equipement and uniforms for the school. My question is:* Where do I enter his equipement and uniforms in his interview?* Where do I look to put these expenses (line)?* Which forms do I need for this? Also, for myself: I need to pay for my permit to work ...I work for a transport company for Valuables...we need a permit in order to continue to transport these valuables...the permit comes from the Public Security Office (BSP: in Quebec) therefore every year we pay for this permit...where can I put it? **What form and line does it fall into? Thank you

TheTaxSmith
For your son take a look at this link. https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/tax/individuals/topics/about-your-tax-return/tax-return/completing-a-tax-return/deductions-credits-expenses/line-31220-volunteer-firefighters-amount-line-31240-search-rescue-volunteers-amount.html If he received a tuition slip follow any instructions as given for the slip for qualified tuition. TheTaxSmith
For your permit you will need a conditions of employment form from your employer to make that claim. If might be a union expense claim but I suspect it's a licensing permit and there is no deduction. Have you claimed it before?
