T776 not populating for spouses return

I have filled out my return including T776 and including my spouse as my partner. It states that it will generate a return for him without having to re-enter the information again, but it has not. What am I missing? In previous years I had the check a box that stated "copy to spouse", but don't see it this year. I did fill out the partner page correctly according to the directions.
