Foreign Income Diagnostics form filling total as Deduction according to Subsection instead of Carry the result

On the Foreign Income Diagnostics Form, T2209, (Form below is just an example off the internet, ignore the red box and arrow that isnt my info) I have columns A, B and C filled out.  Column D is empty.  When it totals up though, it populates ``Deduction according to`` column instead of ``Carry the result to line`` column.  How do I correct that    If column D is empty, there should be no total in Deduction according to subsection total.
