HALA
Hello I pay for my own internet to work at home full time, and I use 75% of the internet for work usage and 25% for personal use. The work at home expenses form only allows me to deduct the percentage of my work at home space for the internet usage. So my work at home space is 9.5% of my home. My total monthly internet charge is 60$ per month, so it is $720 annually. But the calculation for the internet deduction for the year is at 9.5% of $720 which gives me a deduction of only $68.40 for the year. I don't think the calculation should be based on your workspace for the internet. Am I filling out the internet portion correctly? Please let me know. Thank you very much for your help CH

This is a CRA regulation. https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/tax/individuals/topics/about-your-tax-return/tax-return/completing-a-tax-return/deductions-credits-expenses/line-22900-other-employment-expenses/work-space-home-expenses/work-space-use.html
HALA
Thank you Maggie! It is too bad, as my internet fees to work from home are much higher than my work space deduction.
