Quebec Health Insurance Premium

Hi, 

Situation 1:

- 50k income

- Employer Paid Premium: $1000 (Box J)

- Employee Paid Premium: 0$ (Box 235 empty)

Under the Quebec Prescription Drug Insurance info, do I mention that I have my own group insurance plan? And if I pay no premiums at source, does that mean that I have to pay the 720$ premium when filing the annual return? How will the government know that I'm covered under my works group insurance plan?

 

Situation 2:

 - 50k income

- Foreigner residing in Quebec on a work permit for 2 years.

- Own personal private health insurance plan.

Do they have to pay the Quebec health premium or can they have an exception all year as a foreign national?
