jlijli Posted April 16 Report Posted April 16 I am filing a tax return for my (deceased) father for 2023. I understand that I will have to print it out and sign it. The only place for a signature has the following above it: "I certify that the information given on this return and in any attached documents is correct, complete and fully discloses all of my income." which doesn't mention anything about signing on behalf of the deceased person. Is this where I sign? Thank you. Quote
clw Posted April 16 Report Posted April 16 If you are an executor or legal representative, you can sign. Remember to include a copy of the death certificate and the last will and testament with the final return. Quote
