Moe26
I am trying to complete a parent's taxes for 2019. He is not a dependent so I need to complete a new file but don't know how. I have Ufile Online. He is not a dependent so do not want to add him there. I have had Ufile Windows in the past and have been able to but with Online don't seem to be able to. Nawal
Hi Moe26, on the online version, you have to create a new account for the parent to do the tax return separately. So on ufile.ca, click on "Create new" and follow the instructions.
stalance
I have to do the same thing. I thought that I could do up to 4 tax returns on my own account, so if I'm only completing two tax returns on my own account I can't add my parents to my account and would have to pay for another account just for them? TheTaxSmith
Ok so you just need to start a new file in the Start menu.
stalance
So will my parents get charged for the new account? I should have ability to do 4 tax returns under my account and only do 2, so can't add them to my account to avoid extra charges for a new account? TheTaxSmith
I don't think so. But I don't work for Ufile. I have a Windows package for 12 and it cost me less than $25.
thetut
If you purchase the Windows version instead of the Online version you become master of your own fate and are in total control of your files. No more problems with signing in, your data is always available (don't forget to backup), and you can create 4 separate accounts if you wish.
