J_shah Posted April 14, 2021 Report Share Posted April 14, 2021 I have case where I bought shares in CAD, journaled them to USD and then sold them. The T5008 section in UFILE does not allow the buy of shares in one currency and the sale in another from what I can see. AltaRed Posted April 17, 2021 Report Share Posted April 17, 2021 Use the Capital Gains and Losses (or losses) entry option instead of T5008 entry. It is the third 'check box' in the Investment Income and Expenses sub-section. Remember to put in CAD equivalent for all your data, using the USD/CAD forex rate based on the day of transaction.
