Entering Capital Gains in T5008 section when buy is in one currency sale is another

I have case where I bought shares in CAD, journaled them to USD and then sold them. The T5008 section in UFILE does not allow the buy of shares in one currency and the sale in another from what I can see. Is there something I'm missing or do I need to enter this transaction another way?

Use the Capital Gains and Losses (or losses) entry option instead of T5008 entry. It is the third 'check box' in the Investment Income and Expenses sub-section. Remember to put in CAD equivalent for all your data, using the USD/CAD forex rate based on the day of transaction.
