MACH Posted March 9 Report Share Posted March 9 UFile 2021 has invented medical expenses I don't have. I don't have any medical expenses this year. I removed the medical expenses deduction form in the interview stage (I had medical expenses in prior years). But when I viewed my generated tax return, a medical expenses deduction appears. How do I remove this false information that I didn't enter? I tried closing UFile and then restarting it, but the erroneous information still shows up in the tax return. G-Hiotis Posted March 9 Report Share Posted March 9 There's a few items you can check: a) was there a carry-forward of unused medical expenses from a previous year? b) Is there an amount in box 85 of your T4? This represents an employee-paid premium for private health services plans and is considered to by a medical expense. c) Box J of a QC Releve 1 compensation slip.
