Current Address Issue

Hi,

We moved to Ontario from Quebec in January 2018. Hence, our postal code is related to Ontario but Ufile considers it as an error and prevents me from filing Quebec return and say that

"Your postal code is associated with an address outside Quebec"

 

What should I do? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

You cannot file your tax return online if your address is outside Quebec. In this case, you'll need to paper file your tax return.

In order to see the detailed assembly instructions for a tax return that is being mailed, please follow these steps:

1. Open your tax return in UFile.
2. Click on the "Interview" tab.
3. In the "Left side menu", located on the left-hand side of the screen, click on "NetFile".
4. Then, on the right-hand side, for the question "Will you be using NetFile Quebec to submit your Quebec return electronically?", choose "No, I will mail it", and click "Next" at the bottom of the page.
5. Click on the "Review" tab to recalculate your tax return.

You can mail your Quebec paper tax return to one of the following Revenu Québec Tax Centres:
