  6. Hello graham, Error code 21 / Result code 21 : The Canada Revenue Agency was unable to accept your return, as your NETFILE Access code did not match our records. Make sure you have Your unique Access code (8 characters) can be found on your Notice of Assessment (NOA) for a previous tax year. This eight-character Access code is made up of numbers and letters and is located on the right side of your NOA. The placement and labelling of the Access code differs slightly depending on the version of the NOA you are looking at, but will always be on the right side of the NOA. On the paper version of your NOA as well as the PDF version in My Account, the Access code is not labelled, but can be found directly underneath the Date issued at the top right of the page. If you are viewing your NOA in My Account or using the Express NOA service in certified tax software, the Access code is found directly under the Notice details box at the top right of the page. OR Call the CRA 800-959-7383 The NAC is not required to NetFile. While this Access code is not mandatory, if you do not enter your Access code, you will not be able to use any information from your 2023 tax return when confirming your identity with the Canada Revenue Agency. You will have to rely on other information for authentication purposes.

  8. Hello Andy Derix, Generally, you can request a change only to a tax return from any of the 10 previous calendar years. For example, if you make a request in 2023, it must relate to the 2013 or later tax returns. If you want to change a return for a year that does not appear in the list in the drop-down menu, send the request to your tax centre in writing. https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/e-services/digital-services-individuals/account-individuals/change-return.html
  9. Hello LogCabin, Ok. For the authorization it’s better to do it before 9:00 ET or after 19:00 ET as we are experiencing a very high volume at this time of year. <= = = DURING tax season Please wait for the confirmation message on the screen **Before you click Submit please Click on "Submit" only once.** Your browser is going to freeze and don't press anything. 11. Hello LogCabin, >> QC resident but only has T4 x NotT4-RL1 >> The province of residence is Quebec. Line 31200 for EI premiums plus line 45000 for EI overpayment does not equal line 50280 for total EI premiums. The province or territory of residence is other than Quebec. The sum of lines 31200/50260 for EI premiums plus line 45000 does not equal the sum of line 50270 for total PPIP premiums plus line 50280. To solve the situation: Reduce the EI on the T4 slip so no overpayment or reimbursement of EI is calculated ELSE You can open a request ticket and submit a request on-line at https://www.ufile.ca/contact/contact-us

  14. Hello Ergeweiwu, If you’re filing your return for the first time and want to file it using NETFILE, there is a possibility your return might be rejected by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), if they don’t have your complete date of birth on file. When you file your return electronically, the CRA does several validations of your identity, including verifying your social insurance number and date of birth, with their database. Their system automatically rejects a return if your personal information on your return doesn’t match what they have on record for you. You can't use NETFILE to file your tax return if you are filing an income tax and benefit return for the first time with the CRA and the CRA does not have your complete date of birth on record. So most people filing for the first time do have to mail in their returns
