Mike1956
I successfully netfiled both my taxes and my wife's taxes on April 30 to meet their deadline. Our CRA account access was frozen in March and we finally our new codes today. Upon access my account I found some forms that had been overlooked and upon redoing our taxes instead of a refund we now owe. However my attempt to refile is denied because we have used pension splitting. How can I get permission to net file?
Curmudgeon
At what stage of the refiling is permission denied?
Mike1956
When I review the results I'm told "A tax return was generated. However, the errors below prevent the transmission of your file" The reason then given is "The taxpayer (who for ufiles purposes is my wife) is claiming a split pension amount" While my wife does have a small pension, it is my pension, ufile considering the spouse, has chosen to split, saving us about $2400 in taxes.
