WayneH
Hi. In the interview section "Dividend received from other corporation" I'm reporting "Dividend subject to Part IV tax", but I can't see how to classify it as Eligible. As a result, Column G of Schedule 3 of the T2 is not being properly filled out. What am I doing wrong? W
T2 filer redK
I also have the same question. How do we enter the eligible dividend?
Geo123
Hello T2 filer redk, T2 Dividends Received In the interview section go to >>Income source >>Dividends received from other corporation "+" *Amount of dividends subject to Part IV tax received by corporation Dividend subject to part IV tax >Dividend subject to part IV tax >Non taxable dividend per ITA 83 >Capital gains dividend >Portion of eligible dividend deductible per ITA 112/113 Part IV Tax on Taxable Dividends Received by a Private Corporation or a Subject Corporation https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/forms-publications/publications/it269r4/archived-part-tax-on-taxable-dividends-received-a-private-corporation-a-subject-corporation.html
T2 filer redK
Thanks Geo, but still incomplete. Let me clarify: To report Eligible dividends from another corporation; 1.interview section go to >>Income source 2. >>Dividends received from other corporation "+" 3. Enter *Amount of dividends subject to Part IV tax received by corporation Dividend subject to part IV tax choose >Dividend subject to part IV tax 4. Enter amount 5. Then click + to enter another row, 6. "Portion of eligible dividend deductible per ITA 112/113" 7. Enter same amount as this second row. This will now generate an Eligible dividend treatment, and calculate the ERDTOH correctly.
