Form T1032 for transferring and the receiving are not identical - tax year 2021

This is my first time doing the pension splitting.  My understanding is that the information on the two T1032 forms for both the transferring & receiving spouses must be the same as stated at the top for the form.

The UFile doesn't seem to do that.  Is there a glitch?  Can someone help?

Transferring spouse:
Step 4 Part B on page 3 is missing data for receiving spouse
Step 5 Part A on page 4 has data for transferring spouse
Step 5 Part B on page 4 is missing data for receiving spouse

Receiving spouse:
Step 4 Part B on page 3 has data for receiving spouse
Step 5 Part A on page 4 is missing data for transferring spouse
Step 5 Part B on page 4 has data for receiving spouse

Has anyone looked into this?  CRA is requesting our T1032 forms for 2021 and 2022 and I've just noticed the same behavior.  The forms for the transferring spouse do not match the receiving spouse.  Both forms are basically incomplete as described by the earlier poster.    The cra's filing instructions clearly state "...The information on the forms must be the same".

Can someone please advise?

I just got a nice letter from the CRA asking me to send them a T1032 -split pension deduction for 2021 form duly completed and signed.

it's quite an involved and laborious exercise but since I used the online UFile system for the joint returns, is there a Ufile schedule that has all these calculations  I can download & send them ?

thanks

Hello Dominic,

Yes, of course there is a T1032 already calculated in the program.

Simply open your 2021 tax return. Go to the Tax Return tab #4 and download a PDF copy. Then, search for the T1032 form in the PDF copy and print only the 2 pages associated with the form.

Be sure to sign the printed form before sending it to the CRA.
