cginmtl
Hello All, Sorry if this is a repeat. I have looked and I can't see where to claim the $500 credit announced by Quebec in the last budget. I know we need to file our taxes to receive this amount, but do not see how . thanks
TheTaxSmith
You only get that $500 after the return is filed and assessed. It is not on the tax return. https://www.revenuquebec.ca/en/citizens/tax-credits/special-one-time-cost-of-living-tax-credit/
OasisBEE
It's always a good idea to make sure you're getting all the credits and benefits you're entitled to. To claim the $500 credit announced by Quebec, you'll need to file your taxes and make sure you indicate that you're eligible for it. If you need help with your taxes or staying on top of your finances, consider using an app like MoneyPatrol. It can help you keep track of your expenses, stay within your budget, and even remind you of important deadlines like tax season. It's great that you're taking the time to make sure you're getting everything you're entitled to.
Geo123
Hello cginmtl, It is calculated automatically by UFIle (Maximum tax credit of $2,000) and is reduced based on income. Please verify the schedule TP-1029.SA - Senior Assistance Cred *you were 70 or older on December 31, 2022; *The tax credit is reduced by 5% of the part of your family income that is over: $39,350, if you had a spouse on December 31; or $24,195, if you did not have a spouse on December 31.
