melderang
How is it that the Ufile Help states that Charitable Donations totalling over $200 get a credit of 29%, yet the Ufile calculation gives me 25.26%??
TheTaxSmith
The 1st $200 is at 15%, the rest is at 29%. https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/charities-giving/giving-charity-information-donors/claiming-charitable-tax-credits/calculate-charitable-tax-credits.html

MaryEllen Gaudet
Why is only the Federal charitable tax credit showing and not the Provincial credit on Ufile? I see only the Federal charitable tax credit showing on summary and not the Provincial portion. I am supposed to receive donation tax credits of over $5000 but only the fed is showing about 3000? Geo123
Hello MaryEllen Gaudet, In the left side menu under the fourth tab "Tax Return", you will find the document "Charitable donations (Federal)" generated by the program. This in-house form provides you with details pertaining to your donations, such as those carried forward from previous years, the total amounts of Canadian and American donations that are eligible for the tax credit for you and your spouse and, if applicable, the eligible donations for the Quebec tax credit. The amount of the credit will be calculated in Schedule 9 of the federal return and will be reported on line 34900. For Quebec residents, the amount of the credit will be calculated in Schedule V and will be reported on line 395 of the provincial return.
